London Fashion Week

Fashion week is proceeding with warp speed and while the London Fashion week is just winding up, Milan is getting geared up! London Fashion Week had a lot of amazing designers and collections. My favoutires list most definitely would have to begin Burberry. Christopher Bailey nails it each time, what with the materials and the classic trenchcoats. The collection showcased a varitey of trench coats that is a Burberry signature, revamped for Fall. Think thick rubber sleeves and finished metal touches. There was a lot of textural play with fringes and a lot of metallic accents on the garments as well as their bags. Bold prints, be it stripes or graphic animal prints like the giraffe and cowhide stood out loud and bold in the collection. Stripes and monochrome seems to be drifting into the new season as well. Below are some of my favourite looks from the show.

The other collection that I adored was Topshop Unique. The collection very wearable with amazing separates. There were oversized knits, skater skirts, crop tops and a lot of sequins! I am ever the lover of sequins and the bling was my favourite part of the collection.

Roksanda Illinics collection with its soft pink hues and minimal silhouettes, was almost romantic! Erdems collection too was very feminine and ladylike with high necks and slim skirts. Florals made an appearance too, in shades of lilac and blue.

Tom Ford showed at the Fashion Week after years, and the shift in his aesthetics was perceptable. Gone were the sleek and sexy dresses from the past. The Fall 2013 collection was loud and opulent with lace, fringe and fur as well.
