Crew Made The Cut

New York Fashion Week has just ended and there were some spectacular shows and some even spectacular collections on display! Fall collections are always exciting with the deep hues, the structured clothes and all that layering. Some shows definitely stood out as compared to the rest. My list of favourites would include Diane Von Furstenburg, Marc Jacobs, Kate Spade, Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta. The Proenza Schouler show was also every bit stunning with their coveted bags leaving me drooling. But the show that took me by surprise and blew me away was J.Crew. I am not a big fan of prints, patterns and wild colours, but something about this collection changed that stereotype I had. The collection was full of statement pieces that will make heads turn. Think dresses and sweaters in a frenzy of moroccan patterns in loud colours, oversized neon clutches and coats with shiny gemstones on them, all complete with a piece of statment jewellery. Each piece separately was nothing short of fabulous!
Perfect to pair with solid somethings or perfect for some print on print action, this collection is spot on!
